Twelve years ago I began freelancing as a online publicist and social media marketer, content writer, photographer and filmmaker. I started Ginger Media & Entertainment as a boutique agency promoting arts and entertainment, tech start-ups and e-commerce businesses in Los Angeles and around the world. I also photographed and filmed publicity events and artists. As digital content and how we share content online has evolved over the last few years, so has my expertise.

So what is Digital Content?

Well it’s a combination of video, images, audio and text.

Without doubt, video and image content has to be part of any business strategy.

In order to build a successful and sustainable content strategy we must look at the Goals or your business and what you want your content and marketing to do for your business.

If you’ve put together a Business Plan then you would have written a Mission Statement. Every business has a Mission Statement. It’s the core or the heart of your business. It’s the reason why you started your business. It’s your values and beliefs.

Your Mission Statement can guide you in your content marketing.

What is you business?

Why are you in business?

Who is the product for and who are the founders?

How is the product made?

When is it available or on sale?

Knowing your business values and ideals from the inside out will guide you in the digital content you make in the future.

Spend a couple of hours writing and answering your where, how, why, what, when questions. It will force you to think about your business and may introduce some surprises.
